Kent has stated that his colleague and friend Charles Swart who was the founding president of the Montana Land Surveyors Assn. and other Montana surveying initiatives was a mentor. He also confessed to 'stealing' various practices and procedures from the late Mr. Swart.
I would be willing to send Kent a template, to make his north arrow. Fast, inexpensive, and consistent.

It doesn't look like they wrote any bearings down on their lines. And furthermore, it looks like those vertical lines are going NNW in comparison to the north-arrow.
Has anyone yet made a north arrow, with E and W reversed, (like the older transits) just to see how far it would get?
