Hi there guys.

I bought a Nikon Nivo 5m today.
And want to connect it with my cellphone and Pc via bluetooth.

Ive got so far so enable both sides but now the Pc and also the phone wants a passkey to the Totalstation.

How can I get that key or even change it. Ive read the user manual and tried google but no luck.

If anyone know more about this I would appreciate it very much to shine some light on it.

Regards
Ruan Korb

Sorry I didn't know you wanted to connect a phone or computer. I thought you meant a DC.

I did away with wires so I connect Bluetooth for transferring between DC and computer but I've never had a reason to connect straight from the TS to a computer.

Call Nikon. They would be the one to ask about the TS key.

Try 0000. That seems to be the default key for most things - our Nivo 2M and Trimbles used that passcode.

Hi Ruank.

Thanks for the code. Now that my Nivbo is connected to my computer, is it possible to download the data instead of using "Transit" or "data transfer" by Trimble?

This is the line to Trimble?ÿ https://www.trimble.com/datatransfer/

?ÿ

I am new at this & I have not been able to download using either software.

I would appreciate a solution.

Thanks

I have good news for anyone wanting to download data from Nikon Nivo total station using Bluetooth.
The explanation below is brief & it is intended for people who are familiar with Nikon, adding a device to the computer, Microsoft Notepad, Google Sheets & Microsoft Excel.?ÿ
?ÿ
To download the data saved in Nivo, you need to select "Bluetooth" instead of "serial". The Nikon also needs to be added to the computer as a device.
?ÿ
Here is the link:
The passcode for adding Nivo as a device to your computer is 0530.
The downloaded data can be saved as a "text" file in Microsoft Notepad or as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets file.
?ÿ
The downloaded coordinates need to be modified to form one column with the coordinates separated by a ",".
The data saved in Notepad will be separated by a "," & Autocad can use the data.
Alternatively, you can use?ÿ "notepad" to replace the "spaces" between the columns (ENZ) with "," as well is the data is saved as a Spreadsheet. and it to be saved as "scr" (script) file for "Autocad to recognise the file and to convert the data as a series of points in "Autocad".
The top line In "Notepad" should start with (_Multiple _Point) as the top line. This is the command for AutoCAD to inset multiple points.
?ÿ
?ÿ
The "Bluetooth" transfer may not be immediate & often to takes about a minute for the download to begin. A dialogue window indicates the progress.
?ÿ
