Has anybody ever spoken with or heard of Mojeed Alade from Nigeria?
He is apparently a Surveyor at Amlad Surveying in Nigeria.
He contacted me through Beer Leg concerning some equipment I have for sale. I plan on replying to his email but as you can imagine, an email concerning "sales" from Nigeria kinda makes me a little nervous and his English is a little fuzzy.
Just wondered if anyone out there has any history or knowlege of Mr. Alade. I would hate to discount his attempt to contact me as another international spam.
This oughta' be good.
DON'T GAMBLE. TAKE ALL YOUR SAVINGS AND BUY SOME GOOD STOCK
AND HOLD IT TILL IT GOES UP, THEN SELL. IF IT DON'T GO UP,
DON'T BUY IT.
Well,... whut?
😀
Update
His "gmail" address just bounced back. Guess that answers that..
gee...I was looking forward to giving him my bank account info so he could deposit the money there. Darn, missed out on another one.
Update
here's your man... from his facebook page...
It's not worth the risk. Hold out for someone else.
Update
The business web page listed on his facebook page came up as cancelled. Not an encouraging sign.
We sold our old Leica GPS equipment about a year ago to a surveyor in Windhoek, Namibia. We had it on ebay, he saw it, emailed a few questions to me and then bid on it. I googled the company that he said he owned and it showed up. No problems. He paid all insurance and shipping. I didn't ship anything until I transfered the money out of my paypal account. Got a little nervous on the end because he didn't get the stuff for like three weeks after it left the US. It was sitting in customs and after the customs people decided that it really was surveying equipment, they notified the buyer that that had something for him. So, ya, check our what you can on the guy. In our case it worked fine, but it sounds like you have an undesireable. If he won't pay a paypal invoice and insists on a bank transfer, I think the bank can help you out with a special account number - an empty account - so when he trys sucking money out, he'll get nothing.
this nigiria guy does not look like a surveyor
