the W1/4 of Section 35 a resurvey GLO brass cap, typical 1/4 a 1" iron pipe and 2-1/2" cap. Clearly not in the reset position, about 30' SE from a prorate position, got washed out:

accessory was a pile of stones, also gone

I think the saying goes something like this: Mother Nature is a (female dog).

Short of installing massive amount of concrete (picture a missile silo) it seems no matter what we install, it may be obliterated in some fashion. Of course, in some parts of California, that missile silo would slide downhill, too.

the cool thing about this one are the barnacles attached to it, a local mineral developer saw it on my desk and said it was from bentonite in the ground, I'm not sure he's correct about that;-)
