Laptop with a second screen is only way to go, so have travel have computer. Plus an external HD for backup.

I'm not. I absolutely hate laptop keyboards.
Dual monitors? I am down with that. Big mistake on me when I bought my current machine was to not get a giant screen instead of keeping my current one.
