North Carolina requires a disclaimer to be added to electronic files that states "This document originally issued and sealed by (name of sealer), (license number) on (date). This medium shall not be considered a certified document". I'm not sure if that reduces liability or not, but it's required so I do it. Most of our clients are designers and a paper copy is of no value to them, so lots of cad files are sent. Depends on who the client is but usually strip out point and calculation layers.

The client paid me well for the survey so they and their associates are entitled to a copy, even years later. And, as I've said before, this increases my business since they then come to me for the extras they now need.

Same here guys.
Peace. Love. Harmony.
