Can any of you PDX surveyors tell me where I can search grantor/grantee indexes and deeds? I'm heading up to St. Johns tomorrow to do some family research and it appears this information isn't on line. Do I go to the court house? Can I bring a camera? Knife? (just kidding - I'm sure it's in lockdown). Any tricks or tips you can offer?

My mom's family moved to St. Johns in 1912 and my dad's in 1924. I'm searching out their old haunts. Also, is anyone familiar with the Columbian Cemetery? I visited it in 2002 and there were no records available about burials. Just roam around and look for original stones...

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, go to assessor office. Deed records is just down the hall. The lady there is very helpful. Not sure about cameras.
