Umm, Unc, old pal, old bud, I really donÛªt think you should describe the new ÛÏequipmentÛ as stated when you are filling out IRS crap with respect to inventory. Ie:
Change ÛÏbox springsÛ to Vehicle springs, ÛÏbedroom furnitureÛ to office furniture, and whatever ÛÏa not-too-gaudy oil paintingÛ to a Geographic map associated with professional standards.
Happy New Year!

Can just image a nail or prism pole or plumb bob puncturing a hole those paint bags, and it goes all the inside of the truck bed.
Hopefully with a bit of care that won't happen (it would run, not spray, just a plastic bladder of liquid out of the dispenser), I have yet had the seemingly common aerosol can paint explosion in all my years doing this! This system is made for the locator market and is supposed to be pretty tough. I keep tripods, digging/pounding/cutting things, prisms/rods, instruments and paint all in their own secure place in the truck, that tends to make gear last about 10x longer with no accidentaly damage. Most wear on a tripod occurs in the truck for instance, by design there is very little wear or contact between items in my custom engineered truck storage.
I am taking a bit of a gamble with this system for sure, if it doesn't work I am only out a couple hundred bucks. I do know a case of the pouches is about 1/2 the size of a case of aerosol cans and approximately same coverage allegedly. I think the spray will work much better in cold temps and better disposal are pluses. I am pretty sure almost no surveyors dispose of used aerosol cans properly including me, but it is/should be a consideration. Time will tell if this is a worthy way of marking.

I sat in the S model in Portland, OR showroom, waiting for the "3", I think that would work for a large majority of driving, may rent something else for x-country trips. The one downside I see is travel over mountain passes here in the winter, not uncommon to take 8+ hours if you get stuck in traffic due to accident, snow closures, etc. The heating duties will sap those batteries while you wait it out.
