That was an interesting read for sure!!
Having surveyed from Cherokee (SW NC) all the way through Yancey county (NC TN border where I used to live), I can certainly vouch for nasty terrain!!
Some of the verticals were extreme enough to kick my problem with heights into over drive. I got questioned more than once about how come we had a comparatively flat backsight and a wild vertical foresight shot that tested the limits of the gun and my own ability to see through the scope.
In some ways I miss it and others I don't.
