They could also flip a plastic cap over and use it to draw the manhole for their sketch.
I would only put two manhole sketches per page. If it were a huge job with many structures I would provide pre-printed templates.

I'd be more than happy to whip out the company credit card for a template. I have to emphasize that, for around here, these are really above average notes. Paden has confirmed that. I've given regular instructions and corrections to get to this point. It's time to try a different approach. I agree with you on using more white space. I'm not so fussy about perfect circles.
