I was using a TS15 the other day and I must have turned this option on by mistake while trying to search for the target using the keyboard shortcuts. What happened next is that while the instrument was set to lock onto the prism it wouldn't actually lock and it didn't measure. I tried to have a look in the manual but couldn't find anything relating to it.
What does lock-on-the-fly do when it's working as intended?
