Hi everyone,
I am running robotic Total Station TS15 with CS15 data collector with noted above software.
I do have an issue with point ID (numbers).
I would like always to have numerical point numbers so I set up at the begging of the job instead TPS0001 whatever point is going to be (next available point), but when I switch from one program to another(survey to stake out, etc) or utilize applications or change working style it just drops the last point and go back to TPS0001 again so I need to check what was the last point number and reset it every time(no sense).
Another thing when I create a first occupy point on new job as a result of resection and then trying to change the elevation of the calculated point the program doesn't allow me to edit the elevation of this point.
I was wondering if anybody was able to figure out how to deal with this matter (any work around).
Thanks.
It's been one of my nagging issues with the Smartworx software, that it doesn't remember the point number. Any time I go to a different screen, when I come back, it remembers the HR change, but not the point number or code.
Yep.
It also happen when you change occupy and backside point number (move to new set up).
I did try a traverse application it might would work better with these matters.
Does it not save your settings if you change the ID Templates in the Work Settings tab?
Do you mean here:
Nope. From your main home screen...
-User
-Work Settings
-ID Templates
Then you can set them for default ID names or you can change the incrementing to anything you want. Remove the letters and you should be good...? No?
Okay, I see where you were... I wouldn't create a new template but edit the default template to exclude letters... Does that work?
This exactly what I had one step before my previous screen shot.
How it is going to effect on saving last point number when the program/set up will be switch?
Ahh... There's the rub. I'm not sure how that would be affected.
There is an update in ver. 5.6 that allows you to change the point id of a surveyed point while you're in the stakeout screen... Not sure that will change anything for you though. I don't think that's really what you're having a problem with.
