About 35 years ago I spent some time as a LEO in SE Texas. While I did not go to a Traffic Accident Investigation school, I was the one called when one of those specifically trained officers were not available. It seems the sergeants thought my reports were excellent in detail as well as accuracy.
At that time I already been surveying for a period covering 11 years and had made PC about 4 years earlier. B-)

Me: Well I attended the Police Academy in XXXX in 1978 and graduated No. 2 Academically. For specifics I located information as directed by the on scene Investigators.

Of course I do tend to be a wee bit sarcastic with La@#ers.
Law enforcement data collection> I attended
Police academy 1
Police Academy 2 and
Police Academy 3
and I still haven't learned a damn thing...except that Bubba Smith can be funny!

By the way the officer was a young lady and claimed to be a direct decedent of Wild Bill Hickok. I assure you she had the courage to go with the intelligence.
