Not again!!
putting together search points to look for 2000 era resurvey monuments, using the lat long on the plat, get it done, throw it into google and it looks to be 2000 + feet off.
I keep looking and realize it's 2000' east west but 30000' north south, I'm in the township to the south!!!
I must of done something dumb, but I'm not seeing it, finally I figure out that there is a typo on the BLM plat of 5' of latitude, I had calculated through the plat for 4 miles and all I had to do it add 5' to the latitudes of my points and they came right in.
Be careful with those!!

if only I'd looked closer, they filed a supplemental plat with the corrected number, just what I suspected a 5' typo...........
I used the lat long off a recent BLM plat a couple of years ago and it set me right on the cap!

How long was the interval between the 2000 era plat and the supplemental?

Its also another good example of why monuments hold over numbers.
This was done in 2006, the data is shown as NAD83/93.
They tied it to the passive network rather than a new OPUS number, I'd imagine they want stability with these points and are trying to use the same data as older ties in the area.
