I need some help...

So I have the two 911 10th anniversary WTC shirts signed by Scott Z and company and frankly I am the opposite of a pack rat and do not wish to hold onto them, in fact I want them to go somewhere where they will be truly appreciated or better yet could make more money for the excellent causes.

I already contacted the Abraham Lincoln's National Museum of Surveying and they thought it would be an excellent addition, however sadly they are closing down because of not having any money, they are even worried about what to do with all the existing museum pieces.

So that being the case, do you have any good ideas about what to do with these historically significant collectors pieces or how to make more money for the charities with them?

$5 raffle tickets, and send all proceeds to Abe's museum?

Glad you got them. They really are a great piece of surveying history. Maybe they could be framed and donated to the 911 memorial? If you have no other ideas, I would hang on to them awhile and reauction them. I didn't think it appropriate to bid on my own auction or I would of bid to keep one of them.

California Land Surveyors Association hosts a Scholarship auction every year at their conference in March. I'm sure those, or one of them, would sell in the auction. All the proceeds raised go directly to scholarships for surveying students in California. Plus the auction is run through the CLSA Education Foundation, which is a 501c3 non-profit (tax deductible) foundation.

At the bottom of this webpage is a link to donate an item for the auction.

I was thinking the same thing. The SD Surveyors Society just had their scholarship auction and you would be amazed how much people (myself included) will overpay for things to benefit others.
