Well, pathetic is the eye of the beholder I suppose but 169' v. 150' is about 5 times as bad as a chain in half a mile. Maybe Garfunkel was one of those survey helpers that won't shut up while you're trying to pace. How else would Smith pace 6 extra steps across Lot 9?
Steve
LOL

If Garfunkel was singing "Bridge Over Troubled Water" at the top of his lungs all day, that could be distracting too.
Steve
That is FUNNY. And probably true in this case!
Merry Christmas
naw
I think he was singing the 59th Street Bridge song now that you mention it.
Dave
If that's the case, maybe Smith was trying to sing the Paul Simon part while he paced. I think you're on to something.
Steve...
I suggest you submit that additional information slash evidence to Jeff Lucas! 😉
Dave
No that's OK, you go ahead.
What kind of incompetent boob was Wilson not to ask Garfunkel who was singing what as they set the stobs? How are we supposed to follow in their footsteps without all the pertinent data?
naw
You are both assuming that there was a bridge over a watercourse, but there is no evidence of them on the plat nor the surveyors notes that have been shared with us.
Maybe it was "Fifty ways to lose your corners"
Bill
Based on my knowledge of Garfunkel, which is slightly more than nothing, the only song he sang all the way through without Simon was "Bridge Over Troubled Water". I therefore concluded that Smith was distracted by his incessant singing of that song and that Wilson should have his licensed revoked and be tarred and feathered in the public square for his failure to consider all the evidence. Smith, however, is to be commended for his ability to place the stobs within a perfectly acceptable 1:8 level of precision.
now come'on bill
we know the stobs where carved from the former bridge over the troubled watercourse, keep up here, please!
Gardner
I can see you going into stand-up LOL!
Dave
When I saw that subject line, I thought "Oh, no, Schaut's going to contradict everything I said with the ALTA Standards or Cooley or SS 321-322".
now come'on bill
Were, not where. Just paying you back for one of those Muphry's Law deals.
