Hats off to the committee responsible for setting the Iowa-Minnesota boundary post historical marker! You guys did a great job with the presentation this weekend. I'm sure everyone in the crowd was totally impressed. Congratualtions!!!!

Rich Leu - Thanks for bringing out the solar transit. That was pretty cool.

:good:

Yes. In the first picture, Ed is just right of the post in sunglasses. Don Borcherding is appearing as Captain Andrew Talcott.

Iowa High Point

we visited the border region on our NH-CO road trip last summer. Here's the high point of Iowa, just south of the border:

Iowa High Point

Neat, Perry!

Up near Sibley. Some day I'm going to make a trip up there and then over to the tri-corner (IA-MN-SD) monument. Both of those would be closer to home than the New Albin monument was.

Thanks for the pics!

Dan

Until I saw the farms in Iowa, I though it was impossible to have a farm without old rusting farm machinery scattered about and piles of debris everywhere. They certainly take pride in the appearance of their farms in iowa.

Well, much to the chagrin of the Iowa tourism board, we may have a handful of the type you describe.
