Nope, not plastics...monitoring.
Just sent out a proposal for stakeout on a three year building project.
The stakeout was $175K- but the weekly optical monitoring, weekly inclinometer monitoring, and monthly vibration/sound monitoring sessions and associated reports will end up being close to $400K for the life of the project.
I can see that.
A building in SF is sinking.
Friday.

I too have quaffed deeply from the cup of monitoring - and it was good. Been building automated systems as well. On high ticket infrastructure the value of monitoring has proven to be well worth the big bucks; and the lifespan of infrastructure can be extended greatly through monitoring and proactive maintenance/upgrades.
Walk toward light Jim, all are welcome....
Can you elaborate on the automated monitoring systems you are working with?
