We are going up there tomorrow. It is on top of Mount Pierce. Why didn't the GLO at least keep 20 acres on top?

Today it is mostly a microwave and repeater farm.

Reportedly at least one BT is intact and one is a stump.

The position of the I.P. is occupied by Mt. Pierce 2, a triangulation station.

Yep, there's one intact. Huge tree down the hillside to the west.

I'm a survey student at CSU Fresno and we took a trip up there in September. Of course we hiked down to check out the tree and tags.

Very cool place. Have a good time.

While you are up there, look for the original rock scribing on the ridge nw 2000'. It's been a long time, but the rock outcropping is clearly visible from the IP
