My Topcon robot had a malfunction yesterday about 2:30 P.M.. I was about 2.5 hours from his shop. The power port was messed up, and I could not power up the instrument. My on-board batteries needed to be recelled, so I have been running the instrument off of the external battery.
I called him at 2:30, and asked him if he could take a look at it. He said yes, and I drove rather quickly to his office, and he stayed late to take a look at it. He was able to diagnose the problem, a loose connection, and had me back up and running in less than a half an hour.
Being a solo surveyor, and being without a robot is pretty detrimental to productivity. He had a loaner/rental sitting there waiting for me in case the repair to my instrument was more complicated.
Excellent customer service at a very reasonable rate. I really appreciate the effort that Troy and Shane put forth to help out their customers.
