A bundle of threads back there was some discussion about the old 48 with Survey Pro. I always liked it, much less tedious (TDS) than the earlier DC versions. I made the comment that my DC now (Topcon FC200) won't let me set it up to prompt for rod heights and notes AFTER the shot, like Survey Pro did. Does the Topcon let you do that? I have been thru the book cover to cover, of course, Topcon never did make a good manual! I do know that my next unit will NOT have the dam touch screen! What a pain when the temps drop below 32 (it's -5 right now, and yes, I'm inside. good to be king!) Thanks.

JD,
Sorry, I missed the part where you were uing TopSurv.
Good luck!
Jimmy
Not sure about the Topcon FC200. I had Topsurv onboard and it was no prob. I miss my 48.
I'm using Topsurv V8.2 and it will do what you are asking. Goto Configure, Survey, select the ... to the right of your instrument configuration, then select edit, select next until you see a screen like this:

check the box beside "prompt for rod height", then click the green check mark at the top right of the screen two times to save and get back to the main screen.
Now go to Configure, Codes, Select the "Code Prompts" Tab, check the boxes for any routines that you want to prompt you for codes, click the green check mark to save and return to the main screen.
This will cause the program to prompt for RH and then Code after each shot.
I'm still using 7.something (I can't remember and don't have it in front of me) and it's done the same way Stephen explained it.
