Hi guys!

I am wondering how to edit reflector height value in SDR33 database. I went through the system but I found nothing. Did I miss something?

I can do it easily both in Fieldgenius and in SurvCE.

Thank you guys.

In the SDR files my SDR33 produces, the target/reflector height appears on this line:

03NM4.94500000

the 4.945 is the target height. It only appears in the file at the first measurement of a setup and whenever the target height is changed by entering another.

Thank you for your prompt reply Kent but what I really need is the ability to edit hr values in the field (in the SDR33 controller) by going through the measurement data and edit hr values after reading. It is only cd values that appear to be editable in SDR33 database. I hope I didn't miss something. Thank you.

Regards.

No, you didn't miss anything. The SDR33 software I'm familiar with doesn't allow the field editing of anything other than descriptions (point codes). I think that the rationale was that this is something that should be best done in the office after the SDR file has been downloaded and saved in its original form for forensic purposes. It does require a surveyor to be much more alert to the field entry of such things as target heights.

Hi Kent!

I am using my SDR33 for my old Leica TC307. It appears to me that communication between them is only a one way traffic - from TC307 to SDR33. I noticed that I can't update values in my TS via the SDR33. Is this correct? Thank you.

Regards.

I'd think that's right. It's certainly true of the communications between my Zeiss total station and SDR33. Sokkisha total stations may be a different story, though.

The SDR33 data collectors had a Set 2-way communication feature that only worked with Sokkia Total Stations as far as I know. I think it could change the prism constant and other things and also it could activate a turn to zero display on the TS display when staking out.

Kent is correct, you can't edit the target height in the DC. You do that later in the SDR file.
