My name is Iuliu Tatar. I have an old data collector using a TDS-48GX version 4.31 surveying card running on an HP48GX calculator. I would like to know if I can use this data collector with a Leica TC407 instrument. In the Devices list provided by this card will be no any Leica instruments. It is a list of Wild instruments as follows: Model: TPS1000, T/TC2000, T/TC1600, TC1000, T1000 and TC1610/500. So if anybody reading this message is using a Leica TPS400 series instrument with a TDS-48GX data collector, please let me know which of the models listed above has to be selected and what the other communication parameters should be picked so that the two devices will communicate.

It will probably only work in fine mode on the instrument on the TC and TCM series and also may work better at 9600 baud

Should I understand that for my particular model of Leica instrument I can just pick randomly any of the Wild models listed by the surveying card and use the communication parameters that you provided on the total station side ? I will give it a try to see how it's working.
