So I was asked to give an hour long presentation. A state agency that we work with was having issues on how to handle Tracts and new lots in the area PLSS.
The problem is they have records that are disconnected to the Tracts and Lots and go back long before the Tracts and lots existed so how to match their records to what is now on the "newest" plat.
There are thousands of new lots on the new BLM plats that need to be ignored for their purposes since they only represent coal or other fed mineral rights.
So I sent in a drawing to the board, and got it back with one comment that said "there are no Lots in this section that relate to this purpose, please replace with the correct 1/41/4's".
Ahhhhhh,,,,,,,that is directly from the presentation I gave them, somehow my drawing ended up with the new lots, which mean nothing beyond a coal right..............
You can look and look at a drawing and still miss the simple things:-(
I have thought of recording a plak, with as MANY errors as possible.
Ya wanna compete for the most errors, and the worst description?
But I find so many without doing it on purpose

The Flyleaf quote in "Once An Eagle"
Marginal... Parrish was good. Pallamary had some good points. Enjoyed seeing friends. Glenn Borkenhaggen (I don't think I'm spelling that right) was there -visited with him very briefly -it was good to see him. Left Friday morning to get home with on time. Picked up a bug and was sick Saturday and Sunday. At this point I Doubt I'll go to Billings for a conference again. I'm too old and cranky...
I was there thursday, but not at the conference
Were you out on a project? Or was that the day you presented per the OP? It was gorgeous weather.

Nah, the presentation was last year, different state.
Yes, up for a project, some section corners and some improvements.

what a guy from Wyoming complaining about the wind?!?! 😉 hey it was sunny- not something we see a lot of in the Flathead in February.
lol, I'm in the "wind shadow", a tiny piece of the state without the wind.:-$ well.......at least a little calmer........
SWMBO was telling me about a young couple at the store with a 2 year old, they were in the parking lot and the wind blew him over.
Now he's afraid to go outside.
There were reports of over 100mph winds to the south on thursday, glad I didn't go that way................
