Hiper won't lock

I have an original Hiper with Legacy base that worked fine 2 weeks ago. Today it will not lock and give me a float or fixed position, only autonomous. I haven't done anything to change the setup or settings since then. I have good GPS satellite view on both receivers, good radio coverage and was able to setup and communicate with both the base and rover. I was able to 'set' the base and rover too, just like normal, but it seems to be missing something.

I'm headed back to the office now to connect them to the computer to double check the settings. Did I miss something? I read on here a couple weeks ago that another manufacturer had a firmware upgrade needed for the old receiver, wonder if that happened to me too? I have not upgraded the firmware in years, and this is a pretty old RTK rig, original Hiper, per-GLONASS.

Any ideas to check when I get back?

Thanks,

has the battery gone completely dead? You might try "resetting" it. I forget the procedure.

I would start with clearing the NV RAM. Also, occasionally I will have to turn off GLONASS when the constellation is a little funky and won't fix. But, it will be a float solution, not autonomous, when this happens.

Thanks guys. Just got back from the field. I got it working. The bats were all good, not sure what mucked her up, but I had to do the 'factory reset' (probably clearing nvram) twice to get it to clear her head.

What a day, 10 out of 12 irons that I had previously located along this mile of road were gone. Oh ya, and the pavement overlay that I thought the county did last year turned out to be a mill shape with pavement. I punched through that new road on a good mag signal in the right spot only to find fresh gravel. Damn... that traverse was nails and tags from the late 70s. Whole property was covered with poison ivy and sharp briers, but at least it had a lake view. Surveys along that stretch just got more expensive.

Hope others had a better day then me.
