I am considering to buy high precision traverse kits. I wonder if there exists a Seco kit that is comparable to Leica's.

Any experience? Thank you. 🙂

One of my concerns here is height compatibility.

Just like most things with them, if you are using a Leica instrument it's probably better to get the Leica traverse kit. I know they account for the height of instrument and prism. (I do not have experience with the Seco one)

I am very satisfied with seco accessories performance in the field.

Price difference between Seco and Leica traverse kits is huge. For this reason, I am wishing that Seco traverse kit can effectively work with Leica.

How about trying a sokkia aps 41?

It has a height adjustment with a lock screw (an actual screw).

How HI is measured using the Seco height meter? I didn't see any picture from Seco website.

Measuring HI using Leica height meter is quick and easy.

If only prism height compatibility is effectively addressed, I'll try the Seco traverse kit. They also offer <2" prism.
