Looking for some input on the Hemishere S320 GPS units. All I know is they are made in Canada, use Carlson software, and the price is reasonable for GPS L1/L2 Glonass. I would like to know if they are a quality unit, or not, and what kind of range the internal radio gets.

Hi Mike,

Bob LeMoine lurking here,I am the FAE,Survey, (Field Application Engineer) for the Hemisphere GNSS S320 system, I'm the lead tech support guy for the S320. The internal 1watt UHF radios typically provides about 3-4Km LOS, (Line of sight) RTK radio range, but this can be impacted by several factors we are all familiar with. S320 has two internal communication modules, 400 MHz UHF or 900 MHz Spread Spectrum radios and GSM cellular modem built in, gives you options.

Check out our S320 Landing page for more info,

If you have more questions, I'm easy to find.B-)

Hi All,

Considering this kit for intermittent work GNSS work. Any users?

Hard to tell if the board is L5 & Galileo ready or if it is L1/L2 only.

Looks like a good product for todays signal supply but "modernized" signal concerns are becoming much more relevant.
