Hello everyone. Please can anyone help me on this? I ordered this Leica TCR703auto from Florida to Madagascar and it arrived working well. The only issue is that the menu language is, and I'm not joking... fully in Spanish.
I tried to download the avalaible firmware from the Leica MyWorld portal online and only when I tried to install the firmware onto the TCR703 instrument, I opened Leica GeoOffice on my PC laptop. I obtained this error message when I tried to install the firmware on the instrument:
Unhandled GeoCOM ERROR 3077. An unhandled error occured during communication. If this error continues, please refer to your GeoCOM manual.
Please does anyone ever faced a similar issue and would you be kind enough to help me sort this out? Thanks a million for your help.
My SETUP: HP Probook laptop running WIN10, Leica GeoOffice v8.4, linked the TCR703 instrument into my laptop with an original Leica GEV267 USB cable.

Never had this problem myselfe.. so just guessing now...
The TCR704auto is recognized at COM1 so connection through COM1 should be possible... can you access data stored on TCR704 through COM1 port at the upper left side in LGO ?
GEOCom manual page 16 says something like communication error for 3077, maybe you can find some hints there:

Maybe try right mouse click at COM1 and some different settings.
Maybe 2 devices using COM1 at the same time like here
