Anyone here attending the Hawaii conference? I'm thinking about going and passing out goodies (of course, I'll also be attending classes).
The weather post below makes this all the more attractive..........

I used to attend these every other year. In fact, the state used pay for all the expenses in the old good days. I won't be going this year.
These are usually a lot of fun and very educational. The shoreline survey seminars are worth the trip for surveyors who do a lot of that kind of work, since they seem to change the rules every year. Pat Cummins is a good speaker on Hawaiian land systems, and is one of those dedicated surveyors that keep these kinds of things going from year to year. And to anyone from outside of Hawaii, the unique system of land division here in Hawaii is usually described in a talk about the Great Mahele of 1948.
Have a good time!

SO does this: 🙂
The temperature of the ocean varies from a summertime high of approximately 82°F, to a low of about 76°F during the coolest winter months.
When and where is the conference? My daughter just arrived over there a few ours ago for an eleven day vacation. I'll suggest she attend and see if she is truly dedicated to her profession or just wants to lie around on the beach and sip margaritas.
I know what i would. What would you do?
John
It's only $225 to attend both days for non-members. 🙂
Hawaii Conference Dates
Sorry John, didn't see that you had posted about the conference.
