There were not really any companies that regularly work this area, so I took it home. It was a twist lock and rusted pretty good. Soaked it in marvins magic mystery oil to get it freed up. Bubble was still good, prism was fine, but sunfaded. I don't care for twist locks, but still use it as a extra or backup when needed. That you.... whoever you were.
I worked with a guy out of Grand Rapids that loved the twist lock prism poles. I too could not stand them.

Is a twist lock prism pole the one with the twist knob on the side or the compression brass nut you twist to tighten?
I've only found small items like a hammer, a plumb bob, a roll of flagging, and once, a machete left in the side of a tree. I made up for that last one by once leaving a machete stuck in a stump. Didn't notice until I was back at the truck and it was a long hike in. I hope one of you found it and put it to good use before it rusted.
