Computed a huge pile of deeds, holding some monuments, rejecting others, and all, get it downloaded into the data collector, set the corners, and then, at the last minute, with the plat nearly finished, realize that something is wrong, and have to re-do all of it?

I have.

5 erasers for every pencil

that's pretty much how everything I do goes.

You're scaring me!

I found the corners and marked the lines on a 200 foot parcel on Grand Traverse Bay yesterday. Easy, fun job on a beautiful fall day. But now I have to read through 80 pages of descriptions for Ingress, Sewer, Water, Drainage and who knows what that may or may not benefit or burden this parcel. Not my favorite part of the job and my eyes hurt just thinking about it.
Time for more coffee. Have a great day all.

Yep, but not often. Mistakes like that tend to drive the point home of measuring twice and cutting once.
