Crew Chief wrecked truck last week without telling me. Dent was definitely not something he would not of noticed and had to have been done by him. He is only driver and was on a remote site all week.I gave him a day off unpaid. So this morning he calls in and says he isn't coming in this week for "personal reasons". Happy Monday to me!

not sure what that means Nate but hey I figure it is all good. I will work 2x as hard this week and make 3x the money.
What I mean is that if somebody did that to me, I'd figure that there was much more to the story. Why did he hide it? Alcohol related? Loaned it to others? I did get tired of managing people, and went solo,

The other thing about working with family is you can't fire them. Not that you would want to fire Big Help. Give him (and the rest of the kids) a high 5 from me.

I don't miss that part of having an office. Before the depression killed us here on MD's Eastern Shore, I had that crap twice a month. Just my $0.02,write everything down and make it the first warning. You shouldn't have any trouble replacing him, and I'd start looking tomorrow.

I'm doing lots of work all around. Joe and I get work together from time to time. He seems to make more money playing poker. You met him. He is definitely a "do whatever I want to do whenever I want to do it" kinda guy.

I've always said "I can't get good help", but my employees always say ...yeah, too bad you can't fire yourself....
