Has anyone here ever purchased a car or truck from GSA?

If you have please share your experience.

No, but I drove a bunch of them between 1968 and 1974.

They were [generally] well maintained by GSA, but sometimes POORLY treated (beat) by "some" users. I don't think that I would buy one, but an old friend of mine once?ÿbought a pickup that HE had used (pretty much exclusively) throughout its life at GSA. It was a GOOD buy, and he knew what he was getting.

I have one (1989 Suburban) but I didn't buy it intentionally as a GSA. I bought from a private seller and then found out it was an old forest service vehicle. 100k miles later, it still runs strong and I will get the clutch fixed for the first time under my ownership soon. I suspect it has well over 300k total.

I've purchased 3 Chevy Tahoe's that were government vehicles although I bought them through a private auction house as opposed to the gsaauctions.gov website.?ÿ 1 I'm fairly certain was a Forest Service vehicle and the other 2 I'm sure were law enforcement of some sort.?ÿ The prices have all varied but total I have 3 rigs all 10 or less years old for $30k which I feel pretty good about.?ÿ They all needed brake jobs soon after purchase but beyond that they have been solid vehicles so far.?ÿ I got each right around the 65k mile mark.?ÿ It's kind of a crap shoot I guess but really it's that way with most anything you buy used.?ÿ ?ÿ?ÿ

It's a local outfit, www.zoomwarehouse.com.?ÿ They seem to have a mix of government vehicles that have hit whatever magic number the agency has?ÿset to dispose of?ÿtheir vehicles, mileage or age, and hail damaged vehicles.?ÿ ?ÿ
