If you are asking how to update.....

Install the newest version to the memory card
Install card
Turn on unit

There is no firmware update that I am aware of, nor will there be any forthcoming. If you are using Sokkia or Ashtech Locus receivers without any other brand/model mixed in the post processing attempt, the GPS files will process fine. The date and time will be incorrect, but otherwise the data will be the same. Those receivers apparently exceeded the largest numeric value for the GPS time stamp and started over at zero sort of like happened with some other brands recently.

To load Locus firmware version LA00:

Download the following files to your PC:
Lcldr_20.exe
Loadirc1.bat
Locus.hex

Put the Locus in Firmware Load mode by pressing and holding the power
button for approximately 10 seconds until the panel displays a
rolling red pattern. Leave the Locus in this state. Connect the
IR Cable to Com1 on the PC. Position the IR cable in front of the IR
port, as you would for the download procedure.

From a DOS prompt run Loadirc1. This will start the Ashtech Locus
Program Loader.

It will go through the following process:

Setting up interface
Preparing to send program
Loading Memory
Cleaning Up

When finished program will say 'Load Complete...type any key to exit'.

To verify firmware load, connect to receiver with Solutions Download,
go to Receiver/Display Receiver Info.... This will give S/N and
F/W version.
