Gotta love clients

Get a call from a client asking for me to help resolve a boundary that is in dispute. As I research, I see that 2 other surveys have been done both showing a problem between deed, field measurements and a fence line. The neighboring parcel has more recently been sold to the state. So I email the client and tell him I will have a crew locate the fence and other field evidence next week and we can figure out how to handle the situation after that. He replies back, Oh we tore the fence down...Face palm.
