I just open my business this past year and things have been going great so far. I have been truly blessed. I'm doing everything solo with a Geomax robot and now thinking about a GPS. I live in NC and we have a really good network so I won't be looking at a base and rover setup. Does anyone have any experience with the Geomax Zenith Rover, the price is right and I can still use my same DC (Carlson Surveyor 2). Thanks

Aaron,
I have a Geomax Zenith 25 network rover and I used to use it with with Carlson SurvCE. I became frustrated with the unit due to its lack of cell coverage. The Zenith 25 has a built in 2.5g modem and therefor can only communicate with 2g or lower service. It cannot be used with a MiFi device and that really limits its ability in low coverage areas. I also imagine that cellular companies will soon, enough, outdate 2g reception. The new Zenith 25 Pro has a 3.75g modem and can connect with a particular data collector to use a MiFi device. My advice, buy a Spectra Epoch 50. It is close to the same price and works great.
I ended up buying one and now use the Zenith 25 as a base for base/rover setup in areas with no phone coverage and for boundary work. Just read about what you buy and ask about its limitations.

Or igage.com

I am very happy, even though it is a different DC than my robot.
