i understand from this forum that there are many different names that the same (or ver similar) robot can go by. Without getting into my vigilante side, and naming the essentially-lying salesman Iƒ??ve had the misfortune of encountering, Iƒ??ve got a question for those using the zoom80/ 90/ <enter your preferred badge here>.

What is the most economical, compatible 4400 mah battery you have found? Or ƒ??biggerƒ??, if one exists.

Interested in brand, daily charge duration in moderate temps and ability to use the stock charger.?ÿ

Also cost, part number and sales source, if you donƒ??t mind sharing.

i did some thread searching and found a little discussion but, not anything so specific as to allow me to cost compare.?ÿ

Not opposed to purchasing name brand if consensus says thatƒ??s the ticket, but my next question may be, which vendor do you use. 😉

thanks, all

Hi,

Well, not sure why you want to take this risk.
You've purchased an expensive instrument and want to risk setting it on fire for just saving a few bugs.
I have even seen burned-out GNSS instruments because they bought crappy SD-Cards from ebay.. so why taking a risk with Lithium-Ion batteries?

Greetings,
Floris.

I bought a Chinese knock-off via eBay a couple of years ago that I think I paid about $75 for.?ÿ It lasts about half as long as the genuine GeoMax batteries that came with my Zoom80, so there doesn't seem to be much advantage in going with the knockoff.

Allen Precision still shows the GeoMax ZBA400 at $180, and Tiger Supplies has it listed at $175.?ÿ I don't know if they're still honoring those prices, but that's what their websites show.

I have 2 Leica Geb222 6Ah batteries. I get 1 full day of work from one battery. I also use it on a Leica TPS1200 robot with same results. It charges on a regular Leica charger.
