Last winter, I bought a mirror, tribrach adaptor, and tribrach on Ebay. Turns out it is a Geodimeter tribrach for a 600 series inst. I've never adjusted this type of tribrach and was wondering if anyone out there has a sheet on them. Thanks in advance.

is this what you describe?
1. level across both axises
2. turn 180
3. adjust out half the error
4.turn 180
5. relevel
6 turn 180 repeat adjustment till you can turn the adapter and the bubble stays centered.

You will find a long allen wrench really simplifies things too.
