Is that the starter switch was located on the drivers side front quarter panel just under the hood. So EASY to get to.
If you turned the key on, hooked up the positive battery cable and tapped that switch it would start !!!!! All by myself -- without having to call anybody !!!!!
The sad part is by reading about Ford fuel issues ... I could recognize a TPS.
Pretty sad for a girl/female to recognize something like that ...
Thankfully I never had to carry a "cheap electric fuel pump" in my glove box ... 😉
It was good while it lasted for the 10 years I drove it... but I've moved on ...:-)

It is a 460, and it is now at the local mechanics getting the old computer removed.
He is convinced that it is the computer, and we have been through everything else, so I am hopeful.
When that doesn't work 🙂 check to see if the hose which warms the throttle body of the carb is leaking. Next time it stops take the filter off and see if you have carburetor icing. Please disregard if your truck has no carburetor.
EFI, but I wish it did have a carburetor.
That just reminded me that a few years ago while driveing my daughters Jeep Cherokee ('96, I think), it just quit on me and wouldn't start, tried a couple of things and ended up getting it towed to a shop where they diagnosed it as the computer. A couple days later while they were waiting fro the part to come in I got a call from the shop. They had some time on their hands and decided to take another look, turns out it wasn't the computer, but the distributer pickup, saved alot of time and money. You may want to check this if they haven't already eliminated it.
