?ÿ I put gates in the corners that come together over the true corner.?ÿ .....it is incredibly convenient for future needs to go from field to field or onto the neighbor or vice versa.

That way one set of gates potentially gives you access to 3 parcels. Nice.

Oh man, people who build their fences a foot back from the line are my favorite landowners of all time.?ÿ Boundary surveying very, very quickly caused me to despise fences.

My advice is if you build the fence on the line, it's "our" fence. If you build it on your side it's "my" fence. If you build over the line on you neighbor's side of the property line, it's "his" fence.
