The touch screen on my DC 2000 Topcon is giving me fits. Hanging up and unresponsive. Do these things go bad? Nothing visibly wrong with it. Looking for any tips or advice.
Andy,
Just a thought, is there a screen protector?
There is a routine to calibrate the screen that helped me once.
Good thing is that the FC2000 is fairly cheap to replace the screen compared to others.

They definitely go bad. It's actually 2 pieces. A digitizer on top and the LCD display on the bottom. Might want to clean around the edge with a toothpick. Might be some grit in there. I just replaced the screen myself on a TSC2 for $50.00 compared to trimbles $800.00
Fc2000 problems TSC-2?
yeah, tried the recalibrate and cleaning around the edges... no dice. I think it's hanging up while opening anything so it just sits and spins
I do have a Trimble TSC-2 laying around, going to see if I can run my RTK with that.
Takes awhile to get new screen from China, but easy to replace and less then ten bucks.
