You might be referring to this one.?ÿ East 1/4 Corner T1S R30-1/2 described as "Brass Cap over R.R. spike. In concrete with (4) 40S&W pistol casings. 4" below the surface.
I came across it during a legalization survey we were doing for a county road.

You could very well be correct.
I seem to remember it said "Rifle" because my coworker didn't know how to pronounce it and thought it was misspelled. But it could have been pistol. It has been between 15 and 18 years ago so my memory certianly could be foggy.

I have found a six sided rifle barrel marking a tract corner.?ÿ
Some of my favorites are the white oaks that are easily over six feet in diameter at four feet above ground.?ÿ Have recovered many of those around here!
