Some pretty good information here...

Folks would be wise to pay attention to this stuff.
The Multiyear adjustment of the Active Network (CORS) is happening THIS month (I think), and the Passive Network by the end of THIS year (if all goes well).

Does this mean I will have to resubmit my rinex files for the readjusted cors stations and perform a readjustment of my personal network?

GOOD question!
“Have to” ...NO, not necessarily!
Want to??? ...Maybe.
Obviously IF you want your existing Network to be “consistent” with NAD83(2011) Epoch 2010.0000. Then yes (probably)! This is an issue that involves BOTH the Active (CORS) and the Passive (HARN etc.) Networks.
A LOT depends on where you are at, what you are doing (now and in the future), AND “how close” you want future [RAW] OPUS Solutions to MATCH your “project” Coordinate estimates. This of course WILL VARY depending on exactly where you are, AND how consistent (accurate?) the current (and past) Coordinate estimates are (and were) on you local CORS sites (see the 60 day plots for the current situation), AND of course the magnitude of the NAD83 Velocities in your area.
There are several things that factor into all of this (most of which are somewhat geographically dependent).
Some CORS sites are (and have been) VERY consistent and well modeled. Some are (and have been) somewhat more problematical. This GENERALLY is more of a problem the further West you go in CONUS, and isn't “usually” a big problem East of the Rockies (except where it is, and of course vertically in some areas).
The other BIG issue (West of the Rockies and particularly in California and the West Coast), is the crustal dynamics involved. The “move” from Epoch 2002.0000 to 2010.0000 is of course GREATER in those areas with LARGER NAD83 Velocities. Eight Years x a centimeter (or two or three) a year is a LOT bigger deal, than eight Years x a millimeter a year (duh).
None of this makes the “old work WRONG,” but it does complicate the merging of your existing spatial paradigm (NAD83[CORS96] Epoch 2002.0000) into the NEW spatial paradigm (NAD83[2011] Epoch 2010.0000). The “old paradigm” (realization) will in fact be superseded by the NEW Realization. NAD27 Coordinates are NOT “wrong,” they are just obsolete (and superseded). That DOESN'T mean that you can't still use them, it just means (in essence) that “they” are no longer “supported” (so to speak), and “fitting” modern OPUS solutions into a NAD27 Network is kind of a PITA (and vice versa).
HTDP (Horizontal Time Dependent Program) will pretty much get you back and forth between the NAD83 (and ITRF/IGS) Realizations/reference frames, but NOT perfectly (in many cases). Theoretically...YES (except in those cases where it is misapplied), but in reality, one is much better off to analyze your project/network empirically, and see what(ever) it is that you see!
Maybe it will be trivial in your area, and maybe it will be something that you HAVE TO address!
Your mileage will no doubt vary...

Loyal, there's a new OPUS thingy on the horizon ...
It's going to be called "Project OPUS." You're going to be able to look at all your vectors in an entire simultaneously-adjusted project with OPUS. Early screens look pretty nifty.

I was signed up for the "OPUS_Projects Manager Training" (2 days in San Diego this month) until last weekend, when I had to cancel due to a schedule conflict (and a general shortage of funds right now).
I am quite interested in how this will play out, and looking forward to getting the "training" ASAP.

Thank you Loyal!
I enjoy reading your post. I hope its a trivial difference in my area!
I'm thinking I will start to limit my opus session until after the end of this year.

BillyBob
OPUS (and the CORS per se) will be "up and running" in the New Realization (NAD83[2011]) by the end of the month. No need to wait any longer (for OPUS).
The Passive Adjustment will be done when it's done...
