I had remembered this story from years ago and originally had thought it was a diary entry. After consulting the only other human that may have had a copy of this he finally came through with a "scan of a copy".

This story was discovered by one of the staff at the Oklahoma Historical Society among a miscellaneous file of the Indian Territory collection and then related to my buddy. It is actually a published recollection and not a diary; enjoy the read. Although the image is a bit hard to read, I'm sure it's no more illegible than some deeds we work with daily.

BTW - In the text he relates they changed trains at Chanute, KS. to get to the Indian Territory. For those here that take notes Chanute is just a short wagon ride from our Divine Bovine's main corn crib.

A little shy of 18 miles by my reckoning.
