Guys,

If the ad reflects a real business model (today is April Fools' Day after all) and the gal mentioned is responsible for it or buys into it, both she and the organization may deserve the criticism being leveled here, but offering that criticism on a forum open to public viewing is treading on very thin ice. Be careful with your comments.

Exacta is a very popular company and very widely used in south Florida. A quick lookup of the company in the Florida Dept. of Ag. business search revealed there are 6 LS numbers listed under the LB 7337. I have found quite a few of their rods and caps also and most of the time they check okay. This is not the only survey company that operates this way in south Florida either. There are 3 or 4 different companies in my county alone, and the three companies have the same signing surveyor and three different LB numbers and totally undercut all other local companies to the title companies lowest price. It really is awful what is happening with companies like this, and these "businesses" are hurting the survey community all over. I have been to properties surveyed by all of the above mentioned to meet the landowner to re-survey the property because none of the information was correct. Several times their surveys have put people in a bad way, showing that their homes are encroaching into setbacks, fences on or off the property, and all surveyed with nothing but a cloth tape. I have personally witnessed this.
