Try to keep a couple hundred up to a thousand readily available with a minimum of a hundred in my wallet at the start of every day.?ÿ Sometimes there are several thousand waiting for somewhere to go.?ÿ Doesn't take long.?ÿ Heck, most of the vehicles can take close to $100 to fill up the tank.?ÿ Don't even get me started on diesel for farm equipment use these days.?ÿ Filling a hundred gallon tank in the truck bed to transfer to farm equipment takes well over $500 and has been up to $550.
@half-bubble You might not like when people use it as a motivator to make a hasty decision, but it isn't too much different than someone having it sitting in the bank and just offering more until they get the same result.?ÿ Only difference is that the cash in hand is easier to see when considering to sell something.?ÿ Years ago, a guy I know from my area always carried a couple of hundred with him just because if someone was selling something for $300, the cash in hand offer of $200 often got the deal done.
Some people use cash as a budgeting tool.?ÿ I know a couple who both have very decent paying jobs, but they do the cash in envelopes thing to keep their budget in control so they can more efficiently save for the future.?ÿ?ÿ Works well for them.
There is a heck of a lot of money sitting in some people's bank accounts that was earned in some very questionable ways.?ÿ Just because it is in a bank doesn't mean it was legally earned (or especially morally earned).
