If I edited the coordinates of a control point in a job in Trimble access would that correct all points in the job?

Try it and see. I think it will. If it doesn't you can undo it.

All of the points that were shot from that control point. If you set a point and then move up and occupy it it won't correct what was shot from the set point unless you edit its coordinates as well.

I personally don't like editing control in Access but the best way to do it is to go to Review Current Job and edit the base setup record.

Hello there, I m a new R8s system user with TSC3 dc and I cannot fegure out how to do it

I m trying varius ways, I think it cannot be done...

I read in "Trimble Access General Survey" manual, page 82, then i do what i have to do, but update to coordinates wont come

"
Editing point names and point coordinates in a dynamic database
The General Survey software uses a dynamic database. If you change the name or coordinates of a
record, the positions of other records that rely on that record could change or disappear.

The rest of this section describes how changes to a base station position, station setup, or
backsight position can affect other positions. In addition to these record types, changes to
resections, lines, arcs, compute inverse records, and others may also affect other positions. For
more details on specific records that may change, see the table below.

If you rename a point name that is used as a base in a GNSS survey, or as a station setup point in a
conventional survey, this does not rename the point name that is referenced in the Base record or
Station setup record. You cannot edit the point name referenced in the Base record or Station
setup record in any way.

If you rename the base position or station setup position, and another record with the same name
does not exist, then the positions of all records that are computed from that base position or
station setup position cannot be computed, and those records will no longer be displayed in the
map.

If you rename the base position or station setup position, and another record with the same name
does exist, then the positions of all records that are computed from that base position or station
setup position may change, as they will now be computed from the next best point with the same
name.

If you edit the base position or station setup position, then the positions of all records that are
computed from that base position or station setup position will change.

OK
I have some points surveyed with the system. My BASE reciever point was keyed in

lets say it is named "BASE" with coordinates
280 000.000 - 4 111 000.000 - 100.00

then I go to TBC, i post process the *t02 file from my base and I get a better solution

lets say now the pp coords of "BASE" is
280 001.000 - 4 111 001.000 - 101.00

Then I go to TSC3 and key in the updated BASE coordinates and in "Action" I put "Store Another"

Now I have a higher class BASE point (triangle symbol)

BUT my points list IS NOT updated...

Your help is appreciated

I can tell you how to do it in Survey Controller, Access should be very similar if not the same.

Go to File > Point manager
Scroll to your point and hit edit at the bottom of the screen
Hit coordinates in the popup box.
Change your coordinates and any shot that was from that point will change with it.

This works on points that were keyed in. I prefer to key them in as lat/lon but it will work either way.

Thank you

I quess I ll have to contact the distributor. Very strange, it doesnt happen

I try every possible configuration

It could delete indeed my points coords if I replace the BASE with a new position, thats normal according to Manual, but, that simple trasformation cannot happen

If I find the solution, I ll come back to post it

Thanks
