Easiest and hardest places to survey in the US-Sean

> You got that right, and the same description has been carried forward for the past 350 years. Plus, one died without a will, and there are now 900 descendants with varying interests!

Especially the bottom less swamps around Gibson. I really hate setting up the gun next to stumps (so I can stand on) and using lads to stabilize the tripod.

> Ok, IMVHO, I think colonial states would be the toughest and my area is probably the easiest...any other opinions?

Downtown San Antonio, El Paso or Santa Fe are right up there with West Virginia in the sticks. Downtown LA is a pud, Houston and Dallas are not bad. You can keep NYC. I don't want any part of it. I have heard Boston is a Nightmare from hell.

I thought Connecticut was a vacation compared to a lot of the country.

Try any small town between the Mississippi and the Sierra Nevadas and see how fast you can get lost. LOL

Swamps in early spring when the snakes come out and are over, under and around you and you have to cut line wading through knee deep water. Then when you get the line cut out and come back the next to run it, it has grown back. Plus setups on spongy swamp bottom or peat are tough.
Second toughest is cut-over hardwoods with 5 to 10 years of new dense growth.
Third might be in high-crime areas where you have to watch your truck, your instrument, your crew, and your back and still getting the shot and checks.
Desert is easiest.
