One of our programs will print out an envelope through the drop down drawer on the printer. First you need to get envelopes put them into the printer, call up the program with the client's info and send it. To say the least it's touchy. It may work first time, or it may print a random time sheet onto the envelope, an address to a blank legal sheet, you can never seem to be sure about it.?ÿ
Next to the drop down envelope icon in the program is an icon for the DYMO labeler. It will also print out the client's address and the return address by simply touching it and walking over to the DYMO, the label is already printed you tear it off and stick it on the envelope.?ÿ
Of course the result is a bit more professional with the printed envelope,,,,,,,,,if you want to spend the time messing with it.?ÿ
I've asked around and it's probably been over a year since anyone has used the envelope printer.
That DYMO always works, it's one of the best pieces of computer equipment we have, close to flawless.?ÿ
I use a Brother PTouch 2430 label printer for an address to put on envelopes or labels for folders.
I use my word processing program (LibreOffice Writer) to print my business logo/return address and the destination address on a blank envelope through my laser printer.?ÿ I do have to load the envelope in the drop-down tray as described above, but other than that it's no muss, no fuss.?ÿ
If I ever have to print a bunch of envelopes (haven't had to yet), I'll have to figure out the mailmerge sequence.?ÿ I do that every year for printing Christmas card labels, and every year I have to figure it out again.
I have had issues with the envelope not feeding well and printing skewed.?ÿ I've used letter size label sheets in the past, but have to always feed it in separately and keep track of which labels have already been printed on.?ÿ I had never thought about a label printer just for that purpose.
Great idea.?ÿ I think I'll be adopting that one!
