>It was my job to dig all of the crap out of the pipe and get the shot. I ended up using a kitchen spoon acquired at a local shop and a bunch of lath lashed together.
Other than chopsticks, I can think of no more inefficient method of excavation. 😀

aren't those vacuum trucks the most amazing thing ever? makes me wonder when a wheel barrow sized unit will be available for digging out for setting monument in concrete.
B-)
My wife tells me my hair is turning grey. This incident happened before Vac Trucks were very common. Besides, why would they hire one of these when the PC got the joy out of making me work for it. Norm was really old school. It was probably payback for eating too loudly during Paul Harvey or changing the channel on the AM.

Last summer I did 200+ utility excavations on @38.9025244,-77.0405868,3a,75y,95.83h,89.42t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s9cYhvNu53NKT1vz0pA0Wdw!2e0?hl=en">this street (well not me personally, my shoes are too shiny and my office too air-conditioned). A lot of commuters didn't think we were too amazing 😉
